Cloneable is a desktop application that can run on macOS X 10.12 or higher, or Windows.

Cloneable and HTTrack do similar things, although there are some major differences.

1. Cloneable is active

Cloneable is being actively developed and improved, while HTTrack's last release was over 7 years ago.

2. Cloneable is beautiful

We built Cloneable with the user experience in mind. We really want you to enjoy using our application, so we made it nice to look at and easy to use.

3. Cloneable has extra features and better reliability

There are features that Cloneable has that HTTrack does not. Clonable offers complete control over your crawl settings, shows detailed realtime download progress, has fixes for newer browser features (the HTML integrity attribute, for example) ... and we are always working on improving the software.

While Cloneable will try its best to download the websites you need, we cannot guarantee it will work with every website.

The main limitation of Cloneable (and any other website downloader tool) is that it cannot replicate server functionality. Search, for example, is a common feature that usually won't work on cloned websites.

Another common limitation is that websites built with certain JavaScript-based frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) can be impossible to get working properly on your local filesytem.

You can use a tool such as BuiltWith to check what technologies a site was built with, and that should give you a better understanding of the possiblity of downloading it successfully (sites built with React, Angular, or Vue might not clone properly).
